Galila's P.O.C is looking for a new colleague!

At "Galila's P.O.C" we are looking for a person with commercial experience in the arts and culture sector, dedicated to the sale of private group visits and events to cultural associations, companies, institutional clubs, etc."Galila's P.O.C", located in Forest, hosts the private contemporary art collection of Galila Barzilaï. An atypical place in the Belgian and international artistic landscapes, P.O.C (Passion-Obsession-Collection) is designed as a gigantic cabinet of curiosities, bringing together an impressive array of artists from all over the world. A few big names, but above all a lot of emerging talents.

Opened to the public early 2020, Galila’s P.O.C organizes monthly guided tours upon booking on the website. Private events can also be customized upon request: group tours guided by Galila, workshops, conferences, team-buildings, dinners and company receptions, etc.

We are looking for a person to take care of the commercial side with the following tasks: - Development of the Belgian and international clients database: research of contacts, introduction by e-mail or phone (to institutions, companies, cultural and art clubs, event producers, travel agencies, etc.), follow-ups, meetings, negotiations... - Participation to meetings and presentation on-site of the collection - Preparation and organization of the events held at the collection: private group visits, dinners, receptions and corporate workshops/team-building - Event coordination with the clients and the suppliers (catering, etc.)Skills requirement: - Experience in commercial sector within the cultural and artistic industry. Someone who knows how to commercialize a cultural product - Strategic, communication, organizational and logistical skills - Sensitivity for the arts - Autonomy - Methodology (first e-mail or call, follow-up, meeting, negotiation, organization of the event) - Excellent knowledge of English and French (Dutch is an option, but highly recommended) - Availability to start as soon as possible.

The position will be effective as of September 2022, but the selected person will be trained and prepared in June.

This position is a part time of 2.5 days a week, in hybrid mode. Minimum one day of work required in presence at the collection, plus any in-person meetings, business appointments and events attendance that may be necessary.Possibility of contracts either as employees or self-employed. Remuneration to be discussed, based on experience level. Potential evolution within the company.
